“A village school
in a town setting”
Curriculum
“We want all our children to experience success and enjoy their learning whilst at school.”
At Holy Trinity C of E Primary School, we follow the expectations of the 2014 National Curriculum.
As our school endeavours to make learning fun and exciting, we have also implemented our own ‘Creative Curriculum’, where we aim to teach all subjects through the medium of a topic. We believe that the curriculum we offer at Holy Trinity allows children to receive a rich and varied education that is inspirational for both pupils and teachers and that makes learning both motivational and successful.
At the start of each topic, each year group plans a launch day to engage the children and bring their learning to life. This special day may be in the form of a visit, a visitor or it may be special activities happening within the classroom.
We try to bring our topics into all the work we do, even the homework where, in Key Stage 2, leaflets are designed to inspire children with home learning and to find out more about their topic by completing activities.
Our creative curriculum has made a huge impact upon the way the children learn at Holy Trinity. They are excited by their learning and are able to develop a wide range of skills that they will be able to carry with them throughout life.
Here is a table showing the topics covered within our school.
