Art and Design
At Holy Trinity, our Art & Design curriculum encourages all children to develop their creativity and imagination. We actively develop a wide range of skills across the key stages to build on control of materials, tools and techniques. We aim for our children to become more confident in exploring different techniques and processes to communicate what they see, feel and think. We also give children the opportunities to experience the roles and purposes of Art and Design in different times and cultures as well as develop their awareness of great artists, designers and architects.
From Year Two onwards, every child has their own sketchbook to record their ideas and inspirations. We have annual Key Stage Art Days for children to work independently or as part of a group in order to produce a range of artwork which is displayed around our school. In addition, we provide opportunities throughout the year for the children to work with art and design specialists.
