History

The aim of History within our school is to allow children to gain a coherent knowledge and understanding of Britain's past and that of the wider world. We aim to inspire children and arouse their curiosity so they can ask questions and make their own judgements, which will help them understand more about the past. Children will learn about key events in History and will be able to place hese onto a historical timeline. Throughout both key stages they will find out about periods in History that have shaped Britain, from the earliest to the present day. Children will have the opportunity to also study an Ancient Civilisation.
