“A village school
in a town setting”

Holy Trinity Church of England Primary School

Holy Trinity has a long and enviable tradition of music which is well recognised in the local area. All children receive music lessons as part of the National Curriculum, but the addition of a whole host of musical opportunities enhances this provision.

These include whole-class singing sessions, as well as instrumental tuition in violin, cello and recorder. Flute and clarinet are available from (Y3 upwards) .

At Holy Trinity we have a school orchestra which currently has 47 children who are learning stringed and woodwind instruments at school. When the children are confident enough they will be invited to join the school orchestra. The orchestra rehearses on a Thursday after school from 3.15pm-4pm in the school hall.

School Orchestra also performs in school for events such as open days and assemblies and also in our local church as part of our Easter, Harvest and Christmas celebrations, sometimes in other venues as well in the town, such as Cheltenham Town Hall.

Summer Concert

Every year we also have an annual  'Summer Concert', this involves every child who is learning an instrument in school. The children have the chance to play solos as well as duets and playing in small groups.
