We welcome children into every year group throughout the school year, from Reception to Year 6. We currently have places available in some year groups. Please contact the office to check.

How to apply
In Gloucestershire, in-year applications go directly to the school, not to the council.
- Check availability. Contact the school office to find out whether there's a place in your child's year group.
- Complete an in-year application form. Download it below, or collect a copy from the school office.
- Return it to us by email to admin@holytrinity.gloucs.sch.uk, by post, or in person at the school office.
- We'll reply within 5 working days to let you know whether we can offer your child a place.
- If a place is offered, we'll get in touch to arrange a start date and a settling-in visit.

If the year group is full
If we can't offer a place, we'll explain why and tell you about your right to appeal. Your child can also go on our waiting list which is managed by our school office. Gloucestershire County Council's in-year admissions team can help you find a place elsewhere:

Admissions criteria
Holy Trinity is a Voluntary Controlled Church of England school, so Gloucestershire County Council sets our admission arrangements. If there are more applications than places, the council's criteria are used to decide who is offered a place. You can read them on the council's admissions page and in the In Year Admissions Guidance Booklet 2026–27.
Helping your child settle in
We know joining a new school mid-year can feel daunting, so we do everything we can to make it easy:
- A visit before they start, to meet their teacher and see their new classroom
- A buddy in their class to help them find their way around and make friends
- A catch-up with their teacher after the first few weeks to see how they're getting on
- Close contact with their previous school to make sure we understand your child's needs
