At Holy Trinity, we are committed to ensuring that every child can thrive and achieve their full potential. We believe that inclusion is at the heart of excellent education, and we work in partnership with families, professionals, and the wider community to provide the best possible support for pupils with SEND.
Our Principles
- Inclusive Practice: Every child is valued and respected. We adapt our teaching and environment to meet individual needs.
- Early Identification: We monitor progress closely and identify barriers to learning as early as possible.
- Personalised Support: Provision is tailored to each pupil, using evidence-based strategies and interventions.
- Collaboration: We work closely with parents, carers, and external specialists to create a shared plan for success.
- High Aspirations: We believe all pupils can achieve and set ambitious goals for every child.
How We Support Pupils
- Quality First Teaching: Every teacher is responsible for meeting the needs of all pupils through high-quality, differentiated teaching strategies.
- Graduated Approach: We use the “Assess, Plan, Do, Review” cycle to ensure support is responsive and effective.
- Whole School Provision Map: Our provision map (found below) outlines the range of support available across the school, from universal strategies to targeted and specialist interventions. This includes:
- Wave 1: Inclusive classroom strategies and adaptations for all pupils.
- Wave 2: Targeted small-group interventions for pupils who need additional support.
- Wave 3: Individualised programmes and specialist input for pupils with significant needs.
- Specialist Interventions: Where appropriate, pupils access additional support such as speech and language programmes, social skills groups, or assistive technology.
- Wellbeing and Inclusion: Emotional health and social development are central to our approach. We provide safe spaces, mentoring, and nurture groups where needed.
Working with Families
We value the role of parents and carers as partners in their child’s education. Regular communication, review meetings, and shared decision-making ensure that families are fully involved in planning and evaluating support.

Local Offer
At Holy Trinity we aim to offer additional support as necessary, as soon as possible. Therefore, we want to work with families at the earliest opportunity, as soon as a need is identified. If we feel your child has additional needs we will contact you to suggest ways in which we can support your child. Equally if you feel your child needs additional support, please contact David Le Templier our Headteacher and Inclusion Lead (senco@holytrinity.gloucs.sch.uk) to discuss your concerns.
