Geography within our school aims to inspire children to ask questions and develop curiosity about the world and its people. They will learn about diverse places and the people within these places to help them gain an understanding of what it was like to be there. In addition children will find out about the Earth's key physical and human processes and begin to make links between these. Through map work they will be able to name and locate continents, oceans and countries that they are studying as well as gaining a good geographical knowledge of the United Kingdom. Fieldwork will allow them to collect data which they will begin to analyse in order to gain an understanding of geographical processes.
