Dear Year 6 and Parents.  

We are trying, within the constraints of home learning, to include some study for foundation subjects for this week and I will be adding more as the week goes on. 

In a folder on the school website will be three information booklets on biomes, climate change, extreme weather and the effect it has on people. I would like the class to type an in depth answer to the question on the attached word document, "How Are Climate Change and Extreme Weather Affecting People's Lives Around the World?"

I would suggest using subheadings for different paragraphs, for example:

What Is Climate Change?

What are Biomes?

Climate Change and Biomes

Climate Change and Extreme Weather

Who is most affected? (Think of the geography of the places and the wealth of the people)

What can be done?

Please could children try to present their work to a high standard; you might want to insert pictures and use bullet points. Try to use semicolons to link related ideas together, and use causal conjunctions for cause and effect.
